How to Build a Single Kernel Module (Driver). IdVendor 0x1a86 QinHeng Electronics. And I can now use Sigrok with my HL-340 USB-Serial adapter successfully.
This device is: idVendor 0x4348 idProduct 0x5523 There is a patch in -mm kernel tree, so I guess it goes to 2.6.24 soon. But if you don’t want to wait, here is a solution using the new ch341 usb serial driver: wget Then extract the files and comment out lines 301 and 303 of ch341.c file and also line 35 of the tty_ioctl.c file. Finally run ins.sh to compile and load the modules and use minicom, cu, cutecom or what you prefer to connect to the /dev/ttyUSB0 device. I’ve seen some people trying to use pl2303 driver with a little patch to use this device. It doesn’t work. Posted October 14, 2008 at 03:22| I have this version of linux Linux version 2.6.24-19-generic (buildd@terranova) (gcc version 4.2.3 (Ubuntu 4.2.3-2ubuntu7)) #1 SMP Wed Aug 20 22:56:21 UTC 2008 I tried the first post steps for my HL-340 USB to Serial Converter. All the data I receive is garbage.I did not install any patch for 2.6.24. Pokemon gold rom gba download. Where to find this patch? I have set the 115200 baud rate from the GTK terminal. Here is my terminal dump. What i did is. 1 download zip file of above adapter driver for Linux 2 extract it 3 run make command 4 connect USB serial adapter to raspberry pi ( I connected pin 2 and pin 3 of serial port together) 5 run putty on raspberry and select serial and type port as ttyUSB0 and clicked open 6 then new windows was popup and when i type on keyboard there is no any letters appear. Cursor position changed for some keys is it converter problem? Or is there any method to connect PLC with raspberry pi via modbus protocol? Qinheng Electronics Hl-340 Usb-serial Adapter LinuxI have Kubuntu 14.10 development workstation and recently I have bought a adapter. HL-340 is USBSerial adapter and it is recognised by my kernel: user@comp001:~$ lsusb Bus 007 Device 010: ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter [.] I am trying to initiate communication via this adapter with Raspberry Pi B+ board, but I am constantly failing. Whatever text I send to the Raspberry Pi B+ via minicom, the traffic on the line is dead, I've checked with scope. I've double checked the Raspberry Pi B+ setup, the wirings (triple checked with multimeter), the scope wirings and the serial communication is dead. The port on Raspberry Pi B+ is working, because I've hooked up scope on transmit pin of serial port (on Raspberry Pi B+ side) and if I send text from Raspberry Pi B+ (via minicom under ssh tunnel), I get activity on the scope. I cannot get data from PC via USB serial dongle. How do I test if the dongle works? ![]() Qinheng Electronics Hl-340 Usb-serial Adapter DriverLsusb lists the device here as Bus 003 Device 002: ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter It is often shipped together with the sds011 sensor. The required kernel module is called ch341 and built with the following.config entry: CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_CH341=m If you use make nconfig or make menuconfig you will find this module in -> Device Drivers -> USB support (USB_SUPPORT [=y]) -> USB Serial Converter support I had to set the communication parameters manually to 9600 baud, 8N1 before I could use the device properly: $ stty -F /dev/ttyUSB0 9600 raw.
